B Corps Are Winners
2016 has proved to be a great year for our B Corps with award-winners named accross Australia and New Zealand. Firstly, a hearty congratulation goes out to Anna Ross, founder of cosmetics company Kester Black, for winning Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year. Anna was awarded the prize due to her commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices, including creating water-permeable products that appeal to niche consumers such as Vegans and Muslim women.
Whilst the founders of global healthcare business Aspen Medical, Glenn Keys and Dr Andrew Walker, were awarded the EY 2016 Australian Entrepreneurs of the Year title for their dedicated commitment to providing high-quality healthcare in challenging and under-resourced environments.
We also had a number of Banksia Sustainibility Award winners including Republic of Everyone taking out the Banksia Sustainable Cities Award for their 202020 vision project for the City of Melbourne, which aims to green the city by 20% by 2010, and Sendle honoured by the Banksia Mindful Movement Award for their 100% carbon offset transport and logistics solution.
We're very proud of these B Corps and look forward to hearing about more leading B Corps in 2017.
