We would like you to join our team! We are currently searching for a Tap Room Manager for a permanent, full time salary role.


As the Tap Room Manager your primary task will be to ensure that the Beau's tap room experience is fun, friendly and informative for our guests.  You will succeed by coaching staff in a hands-on manner and leading by example.  The experience at the brewery is intended to reinforce the quality, ethics, and overall feeling our customers have. You will excel by showing your commitment to good beer, the community, and a fun, down-to-earth sensibility. Incredibly high organization and customer engagement skills, the ability to have fun while working hard and a keen sense for making people feel welcomed is essential.  


  • Manage the taproom staff (clerks, kitchen staff, team lead and assistant manager) delegate tasks as required, and coordinate work to ensure productive operations
    • Perform taproom staff training and implement new processes as required
    • Drive sales through effective use of the retail space
    • Create monthly taproom staff schedule
    • Ensure strong team development, including team building events
    • Maintain adequate stock through efficient inventory management
    • Effective communication with staff to be sure that tasks are being completed
    • Supervise culinary program and staff
    • Greet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct to other staff.
    • Make sure all customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution
    • Ensure that all health, safety and security regulations are adhered to and required standards are met
    • Ensure tour readiness with all taproom staff. Verify that all tours are safe, with correct information
    • Overseeing order fulfillment for Buy Your Beau’s Online (BYBO), Online Store, Beer Club Memberships, Gift Certificates, Gift Baskets etc.
    • Manage Keg Sales program and Beer Coordinator
    • Make sure that merchandise is always presented neatly and that items are priced correctly
    • Maintain Taproom cash registers and hold staff accountable for deficits
    • Complete weekly reporting as per Sales Manager
    • Work with Marketing Director to develop KPIs that will assist in driving sales and meet sales targets
    • Assist in the management of on-site events, group tours, and other special brewery projects
    • Plan and execute projects as assigned by Marketing Director


  • Completion of high school and College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  • Bilingualism (French/English)
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the retail industry
  • Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment, managerial experience is preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly organized and can manage fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Project management skills
  • Skills to monitor and assess staff performance
  • Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
  • Basic office administration skills, strong level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software quickly
  • Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Determined self-starter with strong multi-tasking skills
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.

  • Schedule will require the taproom manager to work at least one weekend a month
