About Sapience Financial & Investment Services

Sapience Financial and Investment Services specialise in providing insurance based strategies to help better manage the key risks and realities of small to medium sized businesses. As the majority of a business owners wealth is usually locked up in their business, Sapience focuses on protecting the three key manageable risks: of key person value, profit generation and debt liability. They help firewall business owners and their families from the key business responsibilities, strengthen the business valuation and ultimately help protect its capacity to continue to deliver on its mission.

Sapience is driven by a unique customer perspective. The company’s founder previously suffered an undiagnosed health issue that overnight cost him his legal career and 2 years of expensive recovery, because he hadn’t known to insure his income earning ability. While you might physically recover, ‘if you don't have a business to go back to, you loose twice’. For over 18 years now Sapience has worked to help protect business people and their families, so that they never have to go through the same loss, simply because they were unadvised and unaware.

Not afraid to stand up and be counted, Sapience is known for their vocal stand and practical response against discrimination and HIV stigma in their industry. To be the change they wanted to see, they developed their own online speciality brand unusualrisks.com.au to help people with well-managed HIV or diabetes get their life insurance needs sorted, in a confidential and stigma free environment.

For the team at Sapience, ‘business for good is hope in action.’

We became a B Corp because we’ve always been a purpose driven business and want to support like-minded leaders and help amplify their message to the market.

The Change We Seek®

Sapience believes that only purpose drive business can solve many of the worlds meaningful problems unhindered by politics and pressure groups.

They believe in honouring and protecting the diversity of their community and that the fabric of their families, businesses and society as a whole is best woven through respect and inclusion.

Sapience believes when people feel secure, they lead bigger lives. They think bigger, plan bigger, become engaged and committed to growing themselves and their businesses to help solve meaningful problems in the world.

They believe it's time for people and their businesses to take a more public role so we can reframe the news from a conversation about continuing social problems into a platform for demonstrating that problems have solutions that purpose driven business approach can provide.
