About The Alinker Inventions

The search to live life with these values as a foundation motivated Barbara’s departure from her country of origin, the Netherlands. Her journey led her to work abroad for over 15 years. It was finally in Afghanistan, building schools for girls, where she found what she had been seeking; the rich experience of purpose and meaning that comes of living integrated in a community. Barbara has become a citizen of the world. She says, “…being responsible by taking care of ourselves and each other is something I’m extremely passionate about. I do for others because I can. Sharing is key.”

At The Alinker Inventions Ltd., the values of respect, dignity and freedom are embedded in their DNA, and in their flagship product the Alinker R-volution. Their goal is to create revolutionary solutions for people who want to live an active life, but who have developed or may be developing mobility challenges. Their desire is to make it as easy and fun as possible for people to stay healthy and fit, connect with each other, and engage in community life. Together, they move differently.

The R-volution is a cool walking-bike designed to move people in a new way. It provides another way to stay active, adds variety to workouts, increases walking distance while reducing fatigue, and allows the rider to go the distance with a big smile on their face. It’s a vehicle that is helping many people live a more active and connected life. Barbara says “Do what you’re passionate about and take care of each other! Don’t let anything stand in your way”.

The Alinker Inventions Ltd. donates 1 out of every 100 Alinker R-volutions to landmine victims, through both veteran and amputee programs. They also donate a portion of their profits to projects that support girls’ education worldwide. They change perspectives!

We became a B Corp because we actively use our business to create change, challenge assumptions and build an inclusive community. Being a B Corp puts our values right at the forefront.
