Founded in 2007, Cool Planet is a small business sustainability consultancy committed to raising awareness and driving change to help address the climate crisis. Having helped over 3,000 businesses reduce their environmental impact for the past decade and a half, providing straightforward, cost effective ways to measure and reduce environmental impact.
In fact, the team at Cool Planet has been so busy helping other businesses improve their sustainability that they are only just getting around to sharing the news that they became a B Corp now, two years later.
To get to know them a little better, we sat down with the team to chat about why they are a ‘go-to’ in energy, water, waste, and carbon assessments for businesses, residential and low-income households.

Why did you want to certify as a B Corp?
We help businesses be more sustainable, so being B Corp certified made perfect sense!
What makes Cool Planet unique as a business?
We have helped thousands of others across an enormous array of industries to reduce their environmental impact. We specialise in helping businesses of all sizes, making it easy and affordable.
In our first year, all the way back in 2007, we developed the second online carbon calculator internationally and the first that enabled the user to pick specific offset projects. Furthermore, we certified the first Australian carbon neutral newspaper, yoga studio, printing business, rental car company, nightclub, and clothing company. See? All shapes and sizes.
