BFTW 2019 Workers: Inventium

Inventium are one of Australia’s leading innovation consultants who have helped over 300,000 people become better innovators. We spoke to General Manager Georgia Luttick to find out how they’ve celebrated being Best for the World 2019 for Workers.

1. What makes your company Best For The World?

We are in business of democratising innovation. We want to give as many people as possible our science-based innovation tools, to enable them to make positive changes in their work and life. We also strive to create the best possible place for people to work, and for our people to do their best work. We do this through innovative practices such as our holocracy structure, unlimited annual leave, and through allowing people to work the hours which best suit their chronotype.

2. What makes you stand out from other companies?

We’ve really focussed on not only providing an amazing experience for our clients, but also our staff. Being recognised as a BCorp Best for the World in the workers category is wonderful validation of these efforts. Extensive research has shown that engaged employees are higher performing and that organisations with higher staff engagement are more profitable. We also love that our BCorp status has helped us attract like-minded top talent to join our team.3. How do you plan to celebrate?

Spread the word, share the knowledge and change September 4th to National Love Your Staff day…

4. Part of being “Best for the World” is striving to always use your business as a force for good. What initiatives do you have planned for the coming year to continue to be Best for the World?

Having made the Best for the World list in the workers category for two years running, we know we have created a truly awesome place to work, and we will continue to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the Future of Work practices. We also have a team who is passionate about environmental issues and we want to delve more into what we can do as a business to make a bigger impact in this area.

5. What advice do you have for other B Corps and purpose-led businesses that want to improve their impact?

Connect with like minded businesses or other BCorps in your local community and get staff involved to help build on the impact your are already having.
