B Corp Consultant Phil

Phil is a purpose-led sustainability professional with nearly three decades of experience working across the UK, Europe, the US, Asia, Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. He’s spent his career helping organisations of all sizes navigate complexity and make practical progress on sustainability in the real world.

He’s been closely involved in the B Corp movement for more than 10 years - supporting organisations large and small through certification, having sat on the board of a B Corp, and previously serving on B Lab Global’s Multinational Companies Standards Advisory Council, where he contributed to the development of baseline requirements for larger and more complex business models. Importantly, he hasn’t just advised on this work - he’s led it from within business, embedding purpose into strategy, governance, product development and supply chains while balancing commercial realities.

Phil has designed and led environmental and social sustainability strategies at scale across well-known consumer and retail businesses, as well as major sports organisations and global events. He’s recognised for translating ambition into commercially grounded delivery, with experience spanning product and packaging sustainability, climate, waste and circularity, ethical sourcing and human rights, and community programmes and partnerships.

With this background, Phil is well placed to support organisations in interpreting and responding to the new B Lab Standards, bringing judgement, perspective and calm challenge into governance, board and advisory settings.
